The Terminator 3 actor Nick Stahl has been reported missing by his wife Rose Stahl. The thirty two year old actor was last seen on Wednesday, May 9th. Sources tell TMZ… it is believed Nick Stahl had been frequenting the Skid Row area of Downtown Los Angeles recently … and there are concerns he may have gotten himself involved in some bad stuff.
In February Rose Stahl filed court papers alleging Nick was abusing alcohol and drug. She asked the court to make Nick take a drug test 24 hours before seeing their daughter.
Nick Stahl has always been a favorite actor of mine. I enjoyed his work in HBO’s ‘Carnivàle’ and he impressed in the indie Oscar nominated film ‘In The Bedroom’. There is no doubt that his career has been stuck in mud over the last few years, but he still manages to find lots of work in TV and straight to DVD and BluRay films. He is a talented guy and he made me cringe in Bully.
Strangely enough Bully costarred starred Brad Renfro, who had his own problems down on Skid Row in Los Angeles. He was arrested there and famously photographed and put on the cover of the L.A. Times. Renfro was addicted to heroin and used to score down on skid row before he overdosed in 2008 at the age of 25. Hopefully nothing like that has happened to Nick Stahl. I prey its only a huge misunderstanding. Still it’s news and I’ll keep my eye on the story.
UPDATE FRIDAY (8:52 AM PT)
Apparently Nick Staul is working out some personal issues. The LA Adult Missing Person’s Detective had this to say to PEOPLE,
Detective Sasso shared that the “Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines” star “has got some personal issues that he’s trying to work through. The family asks that this be kept very low-key, and that affects our ability to successfully solve these cases.” He added, “We are tracking down a few leads and using internal sources with information we have to see if we can quickly locate him.”
When I get more information I’ll post it.
UPDATE SATURDAY (11:00am PT)
Missing Terminator 3 star Nick Stahl has calmed the fears of loved ones by sending them an email to say he is alive.
The actor said he was fine and receiving treatment for substance abuse problems in the electronic letter he sent to his inner circle.
The 32-year-old, who played John Conner in the 2003 action hit, also apologised for the raising fears about his safety, and pledged to stick out a period in rehab as he battles to get his drug and alcohol issues under control.
According to TMZ, his friends and family are hopeful he will live up to his word, though they are skeptical.
