Beasts of the Southern WildBeasts of the Southern Wild is receiving rave reviews from critics across the country.

Beasts of the Southern Wild,’ opening this month in select theatres, has won awards from Cannes to Sundance. The star of this film is Hushpuppy (Quvenzhane Wallis), a 6 year-old girl living in the Delta with her father, Wink (Dwight Henry). As Hushpuppy’s father’s health fades and the climate changes, mysterious creatures named aurochs are unleashed as Hushpuppy sets out to find her mother. The film is based on a one act play, “Juicy and Delicious” written by Lucy Alibar and Benh Zeitlin.
