Ciarán Hinds Joins HBO Game of ThronesThe great and I mean great Irish actor, Ciarán Hinds is joining HBO’s best running show, Game of Thrones.

That’s right Thrones freaks, Entertainment Weekly is reporting that the 59-year-old Ciarán Hinds is joining the cast of HBO’s next season of “Game of Thrones.” The actor will play Wildling leader Mance Rayder, the King-Beyond-the-Wall.

Robb Stark may be King of the North, but the Wall is the northern border to that title. As those who’ve been watching Game of Thrones already know, north of the Wall is a whole other story (With cute red heads I might add), with its own set of characters. Well, now we know what the face of that leader will look like — Ciaran Hinds. The question is, will he be kind or villainous? Hinds can play the hero and the snake. That much we know for sure.

You may not thing you know who he is, but you do. He has built up a reputation as a versatile character actor appearing in such high profile films as Road to PerditionThe Phantom of the Opera,MunichThere Will Be BloodHarry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2, and Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy. His television roles include Gaius Julius Caesar in Rome, DCI James Langton in Above Suspicion, and as Bud Hammond in Political Animals. Remember him now?
