Happy Endings: Missing Season 2 Episode Scheduled

According to TVLine’s Megan Masters, the unaired season 2 episode has been scheduled to air at Outfest 2012, but the episode still hasn’t been scheduled to air on TV. Here’s an excerpt from the article, which gives some details on this year’s Outfest and the episode itself.

TVLine has confirmed that the ABC comedy’s unaired, kickball-centric Season 2 installment will be unveiled at Outfest 2012, the 30th annual Los Angeles Gay & Lesbian Film Festival taking place in sunny SoCal July 12-22. A broadcast airdate, however, has still not been set, a network rep tells us.

Happy star Adam Pally recently spilled all to TVLine about what to expect from the Bad News Bears-eqsue episode which swaps in kickball for our national pastime. “I get to play the Walter Matthau character [the team's coach],” he teased. “It’s all six of us plus Scotty [played by Childrens Hospital‘s Seth Morris] taking on all the Chicago businesses, like a local nail salon and a deep-dish pie shop.”

My thoughts: I really wish that ABC would stop stalling on airing the last episode of season 2 of Happy Endings, because based on all of the spoilers on the episode, the episode sounds awesome. I hope that the fans of the show won’t have to wait until season 2 comes out on DVD to see it, that would really suck. I just wish that more people were watching the show and that ABC would treat Happy Endings a lot better than they have in the past. All of the other season 2 episodes that they have aired were extremely funny to the point where Happy Endings now ties with It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia as my favorite comedy of TV right now. Also, for any It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia fans that might not have watched Happy Endings before, I definitely recommend that they do. Plus, Mary Elizabeth Ellis (The Waitress) guest-starred in a season 2 episode of Happy Endings that I personally think is one of the best, if not the best episode yet of Happy Endings. If you want to watch that episode it’s episode, 2×20 “Big White Lies” and you can buy it on iTunes if you want to see it.
