Here's Another New, "True Blood" Season 6 Casting Scoop! True Blood: Casting related scoop on season 6

Here’s some scoop on True Blood from this week’s (Posted on 10/9/12) Ask Ausiello column.

Question: Rutger Hauer on True Blood? Count me in! Any other Season 6 casting prattle you can share? — Tiff

Ausiello: Not only is the show casting an oily Rick Perry type to play the recurring role of Texas’ governor — perhaps an instigator of a human/vampire war? — it’s casting a Southern belle to play his twentysomething (and presumably less oily) daughter.

True Blood Season 5 received consistent ratings. The season 5 premiere was watched by 5.20 million people, and the season 5 finale of True Blood was watched by 5.05 million people. However, not a single episode in-between registered ratings of over 5 million views. With that said, not a single episode received ratings under four million viewers.

On the other hand the season 4 ratings were better overall. In season 4, nine episodes were watched by over 5 million people. So, True Blood is on a downward ratings slope, that can’t be denied. Still, the ratings are very good when you consider True Blood is on a Premium cable network in HBO.
