Seven Psychopaths Trailer

Here’s the first trailer from Martin McDonagh’s ‘Seven Psychopaths.’  McDonagh is one of the great directors and writers of entertainment in the world. He’s written 5 plays that have been nominated for the Tony Award for Best Play. He won best original screenplay for In Bruges at BATFTA. The guys is incredible with dialogue. He’s like  Tarantino in the way that he creates random conversations that push the narrative of the story forward. He doesn’t have Tarantino’s edge, but he writes dialogue just as well.

His new film follows Marty (Farrell) a struggling writer who dreams of finishing his screenplay, “Seven Psychopaths.” Billy (Rockwell) is Marty’s best friend, an unemployed actor and part time dog thief, who wants to help Marty by any means necessary. All he needs is a little focus and inspiration.

Hans (Walken) is Billy’s partner in crime: a religious man with a violent past. Charlie (Harrelson) is the psychopathic gangster whose beloved dog Billy and Hans have just stolen. Charlie is unpredictable and extremely violent and wouldn’t think twice about killing anyone or anything associated with the theft. Marty is going to get all the focus and inspiration he needs, just as long as he lives to tell the tale.

The film brings Colin Farrell and Martin McDonagh back together again (In Bruges) and also stars Woody Harrelson, Abbie Cornish, Sam Rockwell, Christopher Walken, Olga Kurylenko, Gabourey Sidibe and Tom Waits.

The film was actually completed in 2011, and it will hit theaters on October 12, 2012.
