Marcia Gay HardenI have been a fan of Marcia Gay Harden since I first heard her sly tongue in Miller’s Crossing. She was brilliant then and I still have a place in my film heart for her till this day.

So, what’s next for the actress from La Jolla, California? Well, Variety reports Marcia Gay Harden will headline the indie drama, ‘The Librarian.’ In the film she will play a woman who finds a new life path while touring Costa Rica. Kind of sounds like an indie version of ‘Eat, Pray, Love.’

Scripted by Joel Silverman and produced by Classic Films with Mano a Mano Films. Juan Feldman will direct. Feldman previously directed the short film “Keepsake” and the play “Accepting the Pale,” as well as worked as an assistant director. He had this to say about the country where he’ll be shooting his first feature-length film as director: ”It’s a magical place and one that really does have the natural power to help restore a person. The common greeting there are the words ‘pura vida’ — pure life.”

The film will begin shooting in Costa Rica in July. Stay tune for more cast updates and images from the set.
