Matthew Perry on The Good WifeThe Good Wife Brings back Matthew Perry and other Casting News

Everyone’s favorite fumbling funny man Matthew Perry will be stirring up some trouble when he returns for an engagement on The Good Wife in 2013. Perry’s Go On is doing well and the funny/straight man is charming his followers for a half an hour each week, but we see a different side of Matthew Perry on The Good Wife:

A Little bit of Casting News for The Good Wife from Michelle Carlbert of Buddy TV. First up is some casting news straight from the folks at CBS, all about the return of Matthew Perry:

Emmy Award and Golden Globe Award nominee Matthew Perry is set to reprise his guest starring role on The Good Wife in an episode to air in early 2013.

Perry will return as Mike Kresteva, a slick Chicago attorney who clashed with Alicia during a blue ribbon panel investigation into a police shooting.  Kresteva later announced that he would run against Alicia’s husband, Peter, for the governorship and has taken out a series of attack ads against him.
Perry s a personal favorite of mine. I’ve had a huge crush on him since he was on Friends and I think he is just tearing it up on his new show, Go On, so this particularly happy news for me. Even though Perry plays kind of a jerk on The Good Wife, I’m still looking forward to his return. I can’t wait to see what kind of trouble he’ll be stirring up this time.

Also slated for guest appearances in the New Year are Kyle McLachlan who I fell in love with in “Dune”… too far back?  His most recent work includes the short lived Made in Jersey and his role as the mayor in Portlandia Margaret Colin of Gossip Girl is also slated to play a lawyer on an upcoming episode.

The Good Wife airs  on CBS, Sunday Nights at 9: pm/8: central and returns  Jan. 6th, 2013.
