Covert Affairs: Eyal related scoop from TVLine’s Matt Webb Mitovich

Here’s some scoop on Covert Affairs from TVLine’s Matt Webb Mitovich’s weekly column Matt’s Inside Line for the week of 9/7/12.

Covert Affairs | Eyal fans, we’ve got some news you’re going to love. Oded Fehr is coming back for five of the final six episodes of Season 3, which kick off on Oct. 16. “Annie’s in some jeopardy, and Eyal comes in to help her in Episode 311,” executive producer Matt Corman tells TVLine, adding that the hour is the show’s “most high-octane” one yet. “Their relationship is going to develop over this back six [episodes]. They’re spending more time together, so it’ll deepen and it will be tested in ways that we haven’t yet seen. You’ll see more complexity out of that relationship.”

Covert Affairs has been a hit ever since it landed on the USA Network, July 13, 2010. The first season of Covert Affairs was watched by an average 6.7 million viewers! That’s a great cable rating. Season 2 slipped a bit. The second season of Covert Affairs was viewed by an average of 5.64 million viewers. Still that’s not bad and last year Piper Perabo was nominated for a Golden Globe for best performance by an actress in a Television Drama series.

Here’s to hoping the ratings level off this year. Yes, the show has been running, but we won’t have the season average viewership until after this years finale.

Covert Affairs returns  all new to the USA Network Tuesday, September 11, 2012 at 10pm. In the episode the team tries to discover a buried truth. The show stars Piper Perabo, Anne Dudek and Christopher Gorham.
