New, Don't Trust the B---- in Apartment 23, Season 2 Chloe SpoilerDon’t Trust the B—- in Apartment 23: Chloe related scoop on season 2 from TVLine’s Michael Ausiello

Here’s some scoop on Don’t Trust the B—- in Apartment 23 from this week’s (Posted on 8/28/12) Ask Ausiello column.

Question: I am completely obsessed with Don’t Trust the B—- in Apt 23. I need recaps, I need spoilers, I need a shrine built to Krysten Ritter for playing the bitch I wish I could be. — Sue Ellen

Ausiello: Your favorite B is about to become a VIP at People magazine, which means a whole bunch of new characters. Among them: Chloe’s schlubby cousin, Jonah; grand dame Marjorie, who gets to pick the Sexiest Man Alive every year; mousy underling Carol; Peter, aka the publication’s resident Joe Cool; and Liz, the executive editor that Chloe cans (or tries to!). Oh, and as for the shrine, that one’s on you, Sue Ellen.

This is an interesting new scoop from Apartment 23. Can we all just stop calling it the bitch from Apartment 23!? If ABC won’t use the word, then nether will I.

Apartment 23 did the opposite of Happy Endings. The show lost steam as the year went on. It premiered to 6.91 million and the finale did 5.6 million viewers. Happy Endings had way better growth and the two shows were in the same time slot.

Apartment 23 got good critical review. It was named The Most Exciting New Series in its category by the Critics Choice TV Awards. Those awards are voted on by journalists that cover the show.

There is a lot riding on this second season, because it was a Spring premiere. Meaning, the show was initially  passed on, or rather pushed aside by ABC. Apartment 23 also got the best lead in ABC has to offer, Modern Family. How much of the audience comes back? It’s hard to say, and more over, the show only had 7 episodes. So, was it fool gold — typically a creator, in this case Nahnatcka Khan, write the first twelve to twenty episodes. Or they at least have the main story arches mapped out. What will happen when writing turn to week to week.

Well see, Don’t Trust the B—- in Apartment 23 returns October 23, 2012 at 9:30p.m. on ABC.
