NCIS Season 10 Season premiere scoopNCIS: More scoop on the season 10 premiere from E! Online’s Kristin Dos Santos

Here’s some scoop on NCIS from Kristin Dos Santos’ Spoiler Chat Daily for Thursday 9/20/12.

Can you give me some spoilers about the early episodes of NCIS?

Pauley Perrette talked up the NCIS season premiere so much that we wish we could fast forward to Sept. 25 so we could watch it right now! “We literally bring the audience back with season 10 just moments after [the explosion],” she tells us. “The fans get to live with the characters in the aftermath of that explosion, try to find out who is hurt, who is there, what’s happening. And then even the psychological effects of something that traumatic. It’s quite a ride. It’s fantastic. We’re so excited about it. We can’t wait for the fans to see it.”

What can you say about NCIS? The show is just a FUCKING ratings monster and one of CBS’s best commodity’s.  In my life time, only a couple of shows have peaked in their 8th season. Seinfeld, Friends,  Mash (I was a baby during Mash’s run).

The First season of NCIS averaged 11.84 million viewers. On FOX that would be their number one scripted show, on NBC, that would be their number one show, behind The Voice. That was back in 2003.

During the last two seasons of NCIS the show has averaged 19.46 million viewers in season 8 and averaged 19.49 million viewers in season 9. Those number are on par with the last two seasons of American Idol. In fact, episode 8×13 ‘Freedom’ was viewed by 22.85 million people. That’s insane! What a great show. Donald P. Bellisario and Don McGill’s great-great grand kids are going to be living off the NCIS syndication money.

NCIS returns in 5 days, with episode 10×01 ‘Extreme Prejudice.’ The episode airs on Tuesday September 25, 2012 at 8pm on CBS.
