Here’s the new “youtube” trailer from Taken 2. Its introduced by the man himself, Liam Neeson. He points out that you should check out this exclusive trailer or, “I will come for you.” Well, we don’t want that, so watched it.
The trailer harkens back to the original trailer that got the movie going public so excited in the first place. The now famous speech made by Liam Neeson’s character Bryan Mills over the phone. You know the one:
“I don’t know who you are. I don’t know what you want. If you are looking for ransom, I can tell you I don’t have money. But what I do have are a very particular set of skills; skills I have acquired over a very long career. Skills that make me a nightmare for people like you.”
The best thing about this speech, Mills delivered. He was a nightmare, and now the father of the man who took Mills daughter is out for revenge in Taken 2.
This trailer isn’t as much as a sales pitch as it is a refortification. The trailer is asking, ‘You like’d the last film, right? Then Taken 2 is for you. The same formula applies, Bryan Mills will be doing some serious damage, and you will be entertained.’ Taken 2 hits theaters October 5, 2012.
Liam Neeson returns as Bryan Mills, the retired CIA agent with a particular set of skills who stopped at nothing to save his daughter Kim (Maggie Grace) from Albanian kidnappers. When the father of one of the kidnappers swears revenge and takes Bryan and his wife hostage during their family vacation in Istanbul, Bryan enlists Kim to help them escape, and uses the same advanced level of special forces tactics to get his family to safety and systematically take out the kidnappers one by one.
