Obama & Romney To Appear On CMT Music Awards

Written by Alexander Tucker   // 06/06/2012

CMT Awards Appearance by Barack Obama and Mitt RomneyPresident Barack Obama and Republican Front-Runner Mitt Romney will both appear on a comedic opening act at the CMT Music Awards airing June 6th at 8pm ET/PT.

When CMT asked Obama and Romney to appear on the CMT Music Awards, they both accepted as they knew it was an incredible opportunity to reach a large audience of potential voters. This is not the first time that presidential nominees have appeared on the CMT Music Awards. In 2008 John McCain, Hillary Clinton, and Barack Obama all taped cameos for the awards show.

Obama and Romney are both “in on the joke” for this year’s CMT Music Awards, and they have both sent in taped video segments that will appear at the beginning of the awards ceremony.

The 2012 CMT Music Awards Ceremony is being hosted by Toby Keith and Kristen Bell.
