House at the End of the Street ClipsHere are two new clips from House at the End of the Street.

House at the End of The Street stars Jennifer Lawrence and her box office meddle will be tested for the first time since she became the break-out star of the year as Katniss in the Hunger Games.

What ever happens at the Box Office, how well or how poorly the film does, to me it has zero barring on Jennifer Lawrence Box office prowess.  This film was actually made before The Hunger Games. In fact, this film had a strong change of going straight to DVD/BluRay, but for the over night star power Jennifer Lawrence gained from The Hunger Games.

As a young up and coming actress sometimes you take risks and take on a cheap horror films — to keep working and keep your brand alive. What I’m trying to say is this, I don’t think she would sign on for this film today. I think she would turn this role down. She’s to big for this film. Still, she’s being a great sport and promoting the film like crazy. That is going to win her tons of points in Hollywood Producer circles, it’s one of Emma Stones great strengths as well.

With that being said, I can’t give you a an honest assessment of the movie. Maybe this film will be outstanding. I haven’t seen House at the End of the Street. But I can say for a fact, that this film which was produced by FilmNation Entertainment, wasn’t going to get a wide release until Jennifer Lawrence became J-Law the star.

Seeking a fresh start, newly divorced Sarah (Elisabeth Shue) and her daughter Elissa (Jennifer Lawrence) find the house of their dreams in a small, upscale, rural town. But when startling and unexplainable events begin to happen, Sarah and Elissa learn the town is in the shadows of a chilling secret. Years earlier, in the house next door, a daughter killed her parents in their beds, and disappeared – leaving only a brother, Ryan (Max Thieriot), as the sole survivor. Against Sarah’s wishes, Elissa begins a relationship with the reclusive Ryan – and the closer they get, the deeper they’re all pulled into a mystery more dangerous than they ever imagined.

House at the End of the Street will hit theaters on September 21, 2012. It stars Jennifer Lawrence, Max Thieriot, Gil Bellows, Elisabeth Shue and Nolan Gerard Funk.
